The NAR Clear Cooperation Policy May Impact When and How You Post Listings.
The NAR Board of Directors enacted a new policy in November 2019 — MLS Statement 8.0, commonly known as the Clear Cooperation policy. The new policy was deemed necessary after NAR's MLS Technology and Emerging Issues Advisory Board determined that off-MLS/off-market listings ultimately excluded consumers from equal housing opportunities. The Clear Cooperation policy requires brokers to post a new listing on the MLS no later than one business day after making it public or they will be in violation of this policy.
