MAINE STATE REQUIREMENT DETAILS FOR REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATE BROKER PRE-LICENSING EDUCATION
How to qualify for the license
- Complete two years practice as an actively licensed sales agent
- Documented Field Experience Form
- Complete the 60-hour Associate Broker Course with a minimum final grade of 75%
Hours Required by the State: 60 hours
Proctored Final Exam: The state requires your course final exam to be proctored. You’ll need to schedule an appointment with a proctor in advance. You can find full details of the proctoring process here. Upon passing the final course exam, you will be asked to sign an affidavit verifying your identity as the student who completed the course and the final course exam.
Licensing Exam: Not required.
The CE Shop’s Offering: 60 hours
Required Documented Field Experience Form: Please submit completed form to Instructor@theceshop.com
Reporting: The state requires schools to report course completions. The CE Shop will report course completions within 30 days of completion.
Expiration Date of Course: The CE Shop’s Pre-Licensing courses expire six months after the date of purchase. For more information, see our terms and conditions page.
Certificates: Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course certificate of completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion with your renewal. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificate of completion will reflect this.
