Connecticut Continuing Education Requirements:

LICENSE RENEWAL PERIOD: 1 YEAR; CE CYCLE: 2 YEARS

All continuing education (CE) must be completed between February 1, 2024 and January 31, 2026 for April 30, 2026 renewal. The 7-hour National Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Regulations course is required for all licensees to renew. CE certificates should be uploaded to your eLicense account as you complete each course. Be sure to upload all certificates by January 31, 2026, to avoid potential penalties.

Connecticut State Requirement Details for Provisional and Certified Appraiser Continuing Education

Renewal Date: Licenses expire annually on April 30th. All continuing education hours must be completed between February 1st of an even-numbered year and January 31st of the even-numbered year two years later (February 1, 2024 through January 31, 2026). The CE completion deadline is 3 months before the renewal deadline. 

Hours Required by the State: 28 Hours

  • 3-hour CT Real Estate Appraisal Law with Supervisory and Provisional Education course
  • 7-hour National USPAP Update Course
  • 7-hour Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Regulations course
  • 11 hours of elective CE courses

Beginning January 1, 2026, a Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations course will be required for Continuing Education.

Reporting: The state does not require schools to report course completions.

Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary by course. Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in your account. See Terms & Conditions for more details.

Certificates: Immediately upon course completions, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course certificate of completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificate of completion will reflect this.
