New York Continuing Education COURSE
4-Hour Update to Fair Housing and Fair Lending Instruction
This course provides four hours of fair housing and fair lending instruction, which satisfies a portion of the continued education needed for licensure in the state of New York. This course answers essential questions such as what is Fair Housing Law, practice, and enforcement in New York, what are the roadblocks to Fair Housing and how do appraisers address fair housing and lending in their profession. Students then learn about USPAP Standards, ethical performance obligations, and unique reporting needs. The course wraps up with practical case studies examining conscious and unconscious bias, improvement issues, and neighborhood issues, and external obsolescence.
This course does not meet the 2026 Real Property Qualification Criteria (Criteria) required education on valuation bias and fair housing laws and regulations.
