How do you obtain a real estate salesperson license in Arizona? 

  1. Complete Your Pre-Licensing Education. Your first step is to complete 72 hours of Pre-Licensing education.
  2. Pass the Course Exam. Next, you’ll need to pass the final course exam for your pre-licensing education. Your course provider will provide the test and your certificate of completion.
  3. Pass the Wisconsin Real Estate Exam After you pass the course final exam, you are eligible to take the Wisconsin real estate licensing exam. You can pay the $65 exam fee and reserve your spot via the Pearson VUE website. You’ll have four hours to complete the exam, which consists of 140 questions. You’ll need a score of 75 to pass, which can be challenging. It never hurts to make sure you’ll fully prepared come test day by completing an Exam Prep course.
  4. Find a Sponsoring Broker. To apply for your real estate license, you’ll need to establish a relationship with a sponsoring broker. Picking the right sponsoring broker is important because they will serve as your career mentor.
  5. Submit Your Application. Your final step is to complete the application for a Wisconsin Salesperson License. You'll need to pay a $60 credential fee when you submit your application.

What to do after your real estate license.

After successfully completing all of the steps above, you’ll officially receive your Real Estate Salesperson license in Wisconsin – which calls for celebration! You’ll need to complete continuing education (CE) requirements every two years, and you may even want to upgrade your education to a broker’s license. Read on for more details about continuing education and upgrading to a broker’s license.

Wisconsin real estate first-time renewal.

To maintain your license, you must complete the required CE and renew your license with the Wisconsin DSPS every two years by December 14th of the even-numbered year.

Wisconsin continuing education requirements.

To maintain your real estate licenses in the state of Wisconsin, you must complete 18 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years, consisting of 12 hours of mandatory content and 6 hours of electives.

Upgrade from real estate salesperson to real estate broker in Wisconsin.

To get a Real Estate Broker license in Wisconsin, you need to meet one of the following educational requirements:

  • Finish a Board-approved 72-hour pre-license program for Brokers within the last four years before applying for the license.
  • Complete 20 academic semester hour credits in real estate or real estate-related law at a college or university.
  • Provide proof of being licensed to practice law in Wisconsin
